As usual, I was the last one off the bus at the end of the line. Usually all the students and working folk rush off to make their next connection at the train station. I’m not rushing. If I make my next connection on time or not is not a big deal to me. You can tell that I’m just a California dude. I haven’t adopted the same sense of urgency that the Japanese people do when they are in transit.

For me, I am good at finding something to do, if I have to wait anywhere. I always have a book with me, or something that I can write with, whatever. I’m good. Anyways, as I’m walking off the bus, I see something out of the corner of my eye on the ground underneath a seat. It’s something rare to see in Japan. People don’t often leave anything behind.
