Please listen and watch the video 3 or 4 times for the best results in comprehension.
First time through, just watch.
Second time just close your eyes and listen.
Third time listen and watch again and try to understand the story and all the words you hear.
Fourth time through, write down any vocabulary you didn’t understand.
NOTE: Don’t pay attention to the grammar too much. I realize there are some small mistakes in there, but our goal is to help you to understand the story.

Once upon a time there was a girl. That girl was named Kiki. She was a witch. But not the kind of witch you think about when you hear that word. She is just a normal girl, but she has some special talents.
This video series will highlight some interesting moments in this novel by Eiko Katono, and well-known animation created by the good people at Studio Ghibli in Tokyo, Japan. If you have read the book and seen the animation in Japanese, then you know the story already. Then, this video is for you. It will be a nice way to read a story you know and try it in English. You will be surprised how quickly you will begin to understand the words that Kiki is saying.
Go ahead and press the arrow- but first, make the screen big, grab a notebook and pencil, for note taking, and enjoy. We do suggest that you watch the video a few times to be sure you understand the vocabulary and sentences almost 100 percent. Ok?
